After the introduction in early 2009 of our full line of Epic 1.8µm columns a major pharmaceutical company performed a comparative evaluation of the commercially available columns for UPLC.

Fluorinated Columns - Epic PFP-LB and Epic FO-LB

Epic PFP-LB and Epic FO-LB. Fluorinated phases are able to perform many unique and difficult separations which could not be performed on the best available C18 columns. These columns have been stabilized to provide low column bleed, increased lifetimes, better pH stability (pH range 1 - 10) and superior LC-MS performance.

The Epic PFP-LB is a pentafluorophenyl that has been baseline stabilized and is ready for high performance separations for a number of applications including the separation of natural products, halogenated compounds, aromatics, conjugated compounds and trace impurities in complex matrices.

To compliment the Epic PFP-LB we offer a baseline stabilized alkyl perfluorinated C8 - Epic FO-LB. With its low bleed characteristics Epic FO-LB is well suited to the separation of trace impurities especially for halogenated analytes, lipophilic compounds and environmental samples.
